How to Generate Dotted Journal Paper
Create your custom dotted paper inserts in a few simple steps:
- Click the **Bullet Journal** preset button at the top of the settings sidebar.
- Alternatively, choose the **Dot** option under Grid Settings, and set your spacing to 5mm.
- Configure your paper size (A5, A4, or Letter) and layout orientation (Portrait or Landscape).
- Adjust the dot styling. A lower opacity (between 20% and 30%) is recommended so the dots remain subtle.
- Set margins to allow binder hole-punching, and download your vector PDF.
Printing and Scaling Your Dot Grid Inserts
To print dot grid paper with exact millimeter spacing (e.g. 5mm dots), always check your printer scaling options. Open your downloaded PDF in a browser or PDF reader, select **Print**, and set the scaling to **100%** or **Actual Size**. Do not use 'Fit to Page' or 'Fit' as it will scale down the margins and distort the physical dot-to-dot measurements.
